The Government of Madhya Pradesh on July 31, 2026, notified the Madhya Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (Establishment of Forum and Electricity Ombudsman for redressal of grievances of the consumers) (Revision-II) (Second Amendment) Regulations, 2021 [ARG-3 (II) (ii) of 2026] to amend the Madhya Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (Establishment of Forum and Electricity Ombudsman for redressal of grievances of the consumers) Regulations, 2021.
The following has been stated: -
•In the Principal Regulations, Regulation 4.5 shall be substituted as below.-
"4.5 The Electricity Ombudsman appointed shall be paid a fixed fee or honorarium including other benefits as may be approved by the Commission."
These Regulations shall be in force from July 31, 2026.
